The first of the year brought a new realtor to Cherokee as Exit Realty, the local branch of the Spirit Lake office of an international real estate firm, opened its doors for business. The local office, situated in the former H & R Block office at 109 North 2nd Street, is capably staffed by Andy Carlson, Cindy Wilberding and Stephanie Zarr, all of whom have experience in, and knowledge of, local real estate - Wilberding with ten years' experience as a real estate broker, Carlson with six years experience as a broker, and Zarr with two years' experience in real estate sales. 

 

The firm can rightly claim to be a "smart" choice for those seeking to meet their local real estate needs for two reasons: 1. The business' company car, which you have probably spotted around town or parked at the office, is a so-called "Smart car," a sub-compact size vehicle prevalent in Europe and very handy when trying to fit into a parking space; and 2. They are the only local realtor to provide e-listing, which when texted from one's "smart phone" leads to a virtual tour of listed properties. When a customer sees a placard posted at an Exit Realty Property, they can text "51044" and type in the number listed for a particular property to see the features of that property, inside and out. 

 

Exit Realty is a 20-plus year-old international firm, based in Toronto, Canada, and in addition to the local office in Cherokee, the firm also has offices in Spirit Lake and Le Mars.
